As a young Moroccan immigrant recently relocated to San Francisco, I faced significant challenges in accessing essential services and resources due to language barriers and limited access to information. However, my situation began to improve when I was introduced to the Maram Foundation through a community member. Upon meeting Soumia, a representative of the foundation, she immediately inquired about my age and assured me that I was fortunate, as there are numerous resources available to youth in San Francisco. She then referred me to housing services and youth-focused programs, where I was warmly welcomed and quickly provided with the assistance I needed. I am deeply grateful for the Maram Foundation’s support, particularly for its dedication to helping new immigrants, especially youth, navigate and connect with the appropriate resources. Their guidance has been instrumental in helping me find the right pathways toward stability and success in my new community.
